ICETEX is the national organism in charge of administering scholarships from international cooperation as the result of agreements among Colombia and several foreign governments, multilateral organisms and other institutions.

International scholarships are a particular type of non-refundable financial aid intended to cover, in part or in full, educational expenses abroad. The purpose of these scholarships is to increase the scientific and technological skills of Colombian professionals who are involved in different sectors of our economy.

SCHOLARSHIP-CREDIT:

According to agreements subscribed between ICETEX and foreign educational institutions, these awarding entities offer partial or full tuition scholarships and at the same time, ICETEX grants a loan to the student up to a certain amount previously set in the agreement to cover other expenses.

The main purpose of "scholarships-credit" scheme is to share studying expenses between the awarding institution and ICETEX. .
