In order to further support to Colombian students who are about to start their higher education studies or technical training programs abroad, including foreign language courses, ICETEX offers them the possibility of obtaining discounts on international airfares and/or airport taxes.

The travel discount consists on 30% less on the fee of full round-trip airfare of one year, for the student, spouse and kids between 12 and 18 years of age if they travel with him or her. It is granted to people who will pursue studies abroad for programs longer than 3 months.


AIRPORT TAXES EXEMPTION:

Likewise, Colombian students who are beneficiary of ICETEX programs of the above mentioned duration are exempt of paying country exit tax at the moment of leaving the country.


INTERNATIONAL STUDENT TRAVEL CARD:

ICETEX offers to Colombian students the opportunity to buy an International Student Identity Card (ISIC) supported by UNESCO in more than 90 countries. The holders of this card can obtain discounts on transportation, lodging, board, entrance to museums, shopping, hotels and long distance calls in several countries.
